Chapter 10 : When
Everything Started To Make Sense
On
the other side, Queen Mertha’s army was getting closer by the minutes to reach
Maria’s mansion.
Meanwhile, groaning, moaning from pain, screaming were heard in all over the third floor. It was from the newborns. And it was succeed to make Alex open her eyes. She was out of breath. And then she felt relieved washed over her when she figured that it was only a nightmare. Justin smiling with fangs was just a nightmare but then she freaked out knowing that she was in a coffin.
“am I dead???!!!” she was asking in her head.
She tried to open the coffin hoping that she hadn’t been buried if she really was dead already. She then remembered how she suddenly felt her head so heavy that it made her unconscious in the newborn’s hands and that only made her wonder, she was sure with herself that she just fainted not died.
“how the hell could I be in a coffin?” she was asking again in her head.
“Even if I died, I’m sure as hell those weird people wouldn’t even have an act of humanity like burying me or stuff” Alex was talking in her head.
It was out of Alex’ worry that she could open the coffin easily. She then figured she wasn’t buried. But then she was shocked by her surroundings. She was surrounded by so many coffins in such a big room. she could feel her right hand was covering her mouth. In her head, she was asking
“where am I actually?”
Groaning, moaning from pain, screaming were heard again and it made Alex end her musing. Those voices creeped her out. She was sure something she didn’t like was happening out there. She walked to the door, passing by all the coffins. she was wondering hard what was it could that be that was happening out there that it sounded that mess.
She was stopped in her track. Shock and horror washed over her when she saw what was happening in front of her in just a few feet away from her. She felt like she wanted to scream from her lung but then she bit her lips hard and covered her mouth with her right hand. There was a fight happening and Alex knew that it wasn’t just like any other fights, it was clearly a wild fight with no blood was spotted, it wasn’t just a fight since the people were fighting with Justin harshly and wildly, since Justin kept on biting those people’s necks, and since Justin needed to break some parts of those people’s bodies to shut them down completely. She also noticed how those people including Justin had fangs and how their eyes were red including Justin’s. And that was it. She couldn’t even blink or make any moves. She just froze standing there. But then she tried her butt of to make a move to go back to the room that was full of coffins. She didn’t want them to know that she was watching or else nothing good would go down. She laid herself in the door right after closing it fast with no sound. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a while to try to calm herself down but then Justin’s smiling face showing his fangs popped up in front of her and the 6 faces did too. Spontaneously, she opened her eyes with her heart pounding so fast. And then realization hit her. Her eyes was wide opened, her mouth was too. She could see how those 6 faces that appeared in her dreams were starting to look clear without any blur anymore. The 6 faces were from the same person and that person was Justin. And that smiling face of Justin showing his fangs from her latest dream was true. He really had fangs, not only that, his eyes looked horrible with those black lines just right under his eyes. His eyes were red just like the Justin that appeared in her dreams. His skin was unbelievably pale. He had blood on his lips. The blood was obviously from his mouth. Over all, he looked just like a dead soul and he looked just exactly like what she thought he was when she got a dream where Justin was smiling so big showing his fangs..
She covered her mouth with both of her hands. Her logic couldn’t buy anything at all. But she knew that what she just watched in front of her a few minutes back then was real. Every now and then she would always take a deep breath. Her heart was pounding like crazy. Her question that had been looking for an answer was clearly answered now. She didn’t get it how she was so eager to know the answer about what Neverland people were actually, what Justin was actually back then but now that it was answered, she found how herself couldn’t buy the answer at all and how hard she denied that and thought that it was just impossible. She just couldn’t accept the impossible but real fact. She could feel how her eyes started watering. But then she turned around facing the door. she wanted to see one more time, to make sure what she saw a few minutes back then wasn’t just her daydreaming or something. But she didn’t even have the nerve to open the door and then her eyes found a little hole in the door. she then put one finger in it to make it wide enough for her to see clear. And then there she was again. frozen in track. She knew what she saw back then really was real and now Justin was fighting less people than before and she could find herself relieved about that and she had no idea why. Justin without his fangs could already make her afraid of him and now that seeing him with those fangs and with his red eyes, she was afraid of him thousand times bigger than before. She knew when he was furious and he didn’t really look furious at the time but his sharp like a knife red eyes and just how he looked so serious plus with those fangs and those black lines under his eyes, it all seriously freaked the shit out of Alex from head to toe, from inside and out. Justin and all these Neverland people really looked horrible and wild. She couldn’t believe all this time she had been living with them, with all these dangerous people.
Alex was shaking in her shoes watching the fight but she couldn’t make herself stop from doing so cuz she was worrying about Justin, cuz it was obvious, those people were fighting Justin and Justin was fighting them all by himself. Alex didn’t even get it why she was even worrying about him. In the middle of watching, she somehow felt like Justin glanced at her at some time when he lowered his head and she felt like he knew she was watching and she started to wonder,
“is that possible if he knows? But how the hell can he always notice especially in the middle of a wild fight?”
There were only 5 people left who were fighting against Justin but then Justin didn’t shut them down just like the rest, he just threw away one person and made that person hitting the 4 others. And then he sprinted out to where Alex was, she noticed that, spontaneously she walked back as fast as she could and locked her eyes at the door. if she was shaking in her shoes before she had no idea how insane she was shaking her butt off at the time. Before she was far enough from the door, Justin was already in the room, Alex held her breath, she was freaking out inside and out seeing Justin in front of her with those fangs, Justin noticed how she was in real fear so he managed to say
“don’t be scared. Let’s get out of here”
Before Alex even managed to say anything, she was already held by him and then he carried her out of the mansion. Justin jumped from the third floor to the ground safely and then he sprinted out to wherever it was that was far from everyone in the land’s reach. Alex was still shaking in fear and with his sudden move, she was now having problem with breathing. Knowing that, Justin brought her to his back and then kept on running. She had no idea what really was happening. She had no idea if Justin really was helping her. when they both reached the ground from jumping from the 3rd floor, she could make a glance at her surroundings, there was a fight also there, and there was Queen Mertha there fighting with Maria in the middle of those people who were also fighting. Again, just like Justin was fighting, they were fighting wildly, breaking some part of body, biting neck but no blood was spotted. And that only made Alex sure ten times than before that all these Neverland people really were what she thought they were. But there was something that made her wondering, some of them had red eyes while some others had black red eyes, and how Justin’s eyes could change from black red to pure red. Now she knew too well that he obviously didn’t use any contact lens.
It
was around 2 am. But Alex had no idea about that since she lost track of time.
She only knew one thing for sure that it was past midnight. She just kept
staring at his eyes while he was running. She was afraid of him but she could
feel how a big part of her told her not to be. They were in a widest woods in
Neverland and suddenly, Justin stopped beside a huge tree. He climbed it up and
put Alex on its big branch.
“stay here. I’ll come back asap” he said and then jumped to the ground and sprinted out back to the mansion before she even could comprehend anything or try to respond him.
And there she was, she did what she was told. She didn’t even have idea where Justin went and where Justin had left her or he would really come back or not. She took that moment to calm herself down. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes but opened them in the next second. Justin smiling face showing his fangs came to a view. It did bother her. she didn’t need his face with those fangs showing up every time she closed her eyes cuz it just didn’t do anything but made her to have that afraid feelings of Justin and plus it made her to have to deal with the truth when her logic basically couldn’t accept the fact at all. She wanted to hear it from Justin’s mouth that he really was what she thought he was but at the same time she could feel how a part of her wanted the otherwise but she knew that she really had to hear it from him so it would make it more real to her and besides, it was the answer she had been looking for. And then suddenly “Twilight”, her friend’s, Ciara, very favorite movie appeared in her head. she didn’t watch all the sagas but only Twilight and Breaking Dawn part 2 cuz Ciara made her to.
“if they’re just like those vampires in Twilight, why aren’t their eyes gold?” she was asking in her head.
“this is obviously not Twilight, it’s real life. Vampire in real life aint have gold eyes.” a voice in her head answered her.
“oh my God!” she exclaimed on how the answer sounded it made sense
“vampires in real life eat blood” a voice in her head was speaking
“but they shouldn’t exist in this freaking modern era.” She was saying
“it’s 2014. How could it be possible?” she was saying again.
“and besides, did vampires really ever exist though?” she was saying.
“oh my God! I must be crazy!” she exclaimed, lowering her head and closed her eyes but then Justin’s face came to a view again so she opened her eyes and just looked at the dark sky. She was trying to avoid to think that she was most likely in the middle of a creepy woods in a creepy place called Neverland. She tried her best not to think things and tried to enjoy the beautiful dark sky at the time.
Meanwhile, Justin was in Maria’s mansion already and fighting against the newborns. He couldn’t stand of the weird feelings he got about Queen Mertha’s army’s death in those newborns’ hand. He didn’t want the newborns win bc that only meant Neverland would be filled of newborns. That was at least what he thought as to why he came back to the mansion and fought against them instead of taking Alex out of the Neverland but he just had no clue how deep inside his heart he actually couldn’t stand the fact if Queen Mertha’s army got killed so then the queen would be in danger. The front yard was like a huge mess. Everyone was fighting wildly. The queen and Maria were too. At the beginning, Justin was just fighting at the very corner of the mess but since he shut down many newborns, he was now almost in the middle of the mess. No one realized Justin was there until the number of newborns were extremely lessen and then everyone stopped in their tracks. So did the queen and Maria. They were all startled seeing Justin there. For all everyone knew, Justin was in no one’s side but that night it looked like he was doing the otherwise. The queen couldn’t believe it but she found herself smiling over that. On the other side, Maria was in fear. she never wanted Justin to get involved bc he was the only one who could block anything that she was doing. What she feared the most apparently happened to be true. Justin was in the queen’s side.
“Justin, what are you doing here? You’re in no one’s side. You can’t be here and fight against my army. You’re into this too far” Maria was speaking. She was upset but she tried not to show it. she knew she had to think hard and make a right decision with a good plan or else she would be the one who would be in a loss.
“I am. I’m in no one’s side. this fight is useless. She’s not here anymore.” Justin sounded so serious and his look was just as much.
Everyone was surprised hearing that but at the same time they didn’t buy it at all. It was impossible even for Justin to take the human girl out of the Neverland that fast.
“no. you’re lying.” Maria was saying. And then she knew that what Justin said before was true in some ways. She then realized what she had to do.
“my army! half of you all! Go explore Neverland and find Alexis n bring her dead body to me! Now!” Maria ordered.
Everyone startled hearing that but not for the newborns. They did what they were told. Justin cursed in his head. but before everyone could make any move of doing something Maria was speaking again,
“and the rest of you! Finish these people off! Including Justin! Mertha is my business! attack!!” she ordered.
The newborns were quick to respond. They did what they were told a second after. Maria knew the possibility of her being the winner was thin since Justin was in the queen’s side but she would try her butt off to at least make herself survive in the fight and besides she knew too well that as long as her newborns could find and kill Alex, it didn’t really matter then if she had to lose cuz killing Alex was all that matters at the time. She could create her army again after Alex was killed and rearranged her plan to take over the Neverland and the world and even plans to shut down The Queen and Justin if they survived in this fight.
“fuck!” Justin cursed. He was fighting against 14 newborns. What had just happened minutes before, it happened again at the time being and it definitely got worse and wilder.
The first one thing that came up in Justin’s mind the minute he heard Maria’s command was no one other than Alex. He worried about her. there were just too many newborns who were looking for her and she was in the middle of a woods all alone by herself. He could feel how he just wanted to leave everyone in there and go for Alex and take her to get out of Neverland but he could also feel how a part of him wanted to fight as many newborns as he could so he could help Queen Mertha and her army but he did know that he was in no one’s side but that was actually just him who was always reminding himself about it when in fact it was already obvious that he was actually more like into Queen Mertha’s side.
Never in Justin’s immortal life would he think he would feel like he was in confusion. and he indeed was in a great confusion at the time. on the outside, it might look like he was all serious and in focus when fighting against the newborns but on the inside, he was nothing into that. His mind was swimming in his thoughts.
“help!” a girl was begging in her low voice and soon it caught Justin’s attention. That girl’s voice was just too familiar for his ears even after they hadn’t really talked for ages.
Justin turned his body around and he found how Maria was grinning like a mad girl just right in front of Queen Mertha who was lying helpless on the ground and then his eyes looked sharper and more deadly than before. It seemed like no one heard her but Justin oh then again Justin was the one who had such a great focus about his surroundings.
Justin wasted no time. he sprinted out to where Maria and the queen were fighting while the newborns that were fighting against him a second ago flung a meter away from him after he flung two of them away harshly and those two bumped into the others .
Meanwhile, Alex was in such a great fear in the middle of a creepy woods on a branch of a huge tree. It was really dark there but she could still see how there were many newborns just right under her. they were in focus, looking and smelling the surroundings. How in the name of God could someone stay calm when they know that they’re all alone with no one around to help and they’re surrounded by lots of creepy and horrible people or in this case, when you know that those who surround you have that possibility of killing you right there and then. at that right time, she only wished Justin never left her alone back then or Justin could come up in front of her out of nowhere, just like he always would, and then help her out. After a minute or so, she figured they were smelling her scent so she held her breath, to her lack, the newborns smelt the presence of her already and then one of them, Gerald, quick to guess that Alex was on the huge tree. All those newborns who were surrounding her now were looking at her and grinning. Alex’ heart and eyes dropped on the ground seeing them and the grinning. Soon the grin that was plastered on the newborns’ faces faded and replaced by the lust look. They were staring at her in lust and then a second after, all of them were looking at each other. Apparently Alex’ scent distracted most of the newborns there. One thing in their heads at the time being was nothing but wanting to drink all Alex’ blood right there and then. Gerald knew what was on his pals’ minds so he tried to control them before they went far doing something stupid just because of competing over Alex’ blood.
“guys, yes, we’re told to bring her dead body to Maria but don’t be such fools and get killed by competing over Alex’ blood. I’ll make sure you all will get to taste her blood but..”
“shh Gerald! There’s so many of us here and you expect us to share the human blood huh?” one of them said, interrupting Gerald.
Alex was shaking from her head to toe hearing them talking about her blood and basically about her life.
All of the newborns there seemed to buy the saying from that guy instead of from Gerald and then a mess was going down there.
