Chapter 11 : When The Human Girl Was No More Clueless

“who gets her first will get the blood” one of them said and soon he walked to the huge tree in which Alex was there but then he was stopped by the others as they were saying stuff like

“oh not you!”

“won’t ever let you!”

“let’s see who’s gonna survive here and get the blood”

A mess was happening there, they were all fighting against each other and killing each other. Alex felt sick in the stomach watching them. She got too distracted over that so instead of trying to escape from them she remained still there on the big branch watching them fighting wildly. On the other side, Gerald shook his head, couldn’t believe his pals were just too wild to be controlled.

“you all are fools” Gerald sighed.

as everyone was so busy fighting and killing each other, he walked to Alex and she had no idea about it until she felt her feet touched the ground. She turned her head and again her eyes and heart fell to the ground for the hundredth times. she was now with Gerald a few feet away from the mess. In fear, she bit her lips hard.

“Die! Die! Die! I’ll die!” that was the only thing in her head at the time.

“it’s a shame that my guys are fools killing each other in front of you. But you know that I may be just like them but I’m obviously not a fool.” He said, grinning.

Alex was indeed shaking in fear but she managed to take some little steps back from him and hoped that she could run from him even if she knew it would be no use cuz he would catch her up easily. 

“you know you can’t run from me” he said as he was walking closer to her

Alex kept moving backwards and biting her lips in fear.

“I wonder how great it tastes of the blood that could kill my creator, Maria…” he was saying

She shook her head every now and then. she couldn’t accept the fact that Gerald was the one who would drink all her blood till she stopped breathing with no one was watching bc everyone was just that busy fighting and killing each other.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, just a second before Maria laid her hand on The Queen’s neck, Justin’s hand stopped her. before Maria could even comprehend the presence of him between The Queen and her, Maria flung half  a meter away. Justin walked to where Maria was with eyes pure of anger. But then a familiar voice stopped his footsteps.

“Justin. thank you. But, she’s my sister and if she should really die, then my hands are the one who has to do the job” the queen was saying.

Justin closed his eyes and tried to control his anger, he then remembered about Alex..

second after he walked back to the queen and helped her to stand up straight. The queen couldn’t help but stare into his eyes while Justin was trying to avoid doing such a thing. She could see through his eyes how he was in anger and something she couldn’t comprehend but apparently the things that came out from her mouth were nowhere about that.

“where’s Alexis?” she was asking him, she was trying to remind herself that she was a queen, she had to think about Neverland, not the personal stuff.

“don’t worry about her. just kill the bitch” Justin responded and before he made his steps towards Maria, the queen and him were locked staring into each other’s eyes.

“take care of yourself” he said again and broke their eyes contact.

“you too” she said, smiling but Justin was already walking to Maria but sure he heard her.

Meanwhile maria was trying to pull herself together from Justin’s sudden attack.

“shit! Justin really is in Mertha’s side!” she mumbled to herself.

“you’re sick and disgusting. I wanted to kill you so bad right now but seems like Mertha is the one who has the right to.” Justin was saying as soon as he reached Maria and then he sprinted out to the 
 woods but he could still hear when Maria responded him

“I’ll kill her first before she can even touch me!” Maria was responding him, shouting a little.

Hearing that he clenched his hands and jaw but he knew he believed in the queen’s power. He sprinted out to where the last time he left Alex. he could feel how he hoped the newborns didn’t find her. he could feel how he hoped she was okay. he could feel how he cared for her, but he just denied to acknowledge that.

He hadn’t even reached to where Alex was but his nose could already smell how there was something not cool was happening there and his ears could already sense the same way cuz he heard nothing but a mess. And that only made his anxiety towards Alex go bigger. His eyes looked like an extremely sharp knife when he found out how there was a wild war just right at the huge tree surroundings where he left Alex there a few minutes back then. without a second thought,  he came just right in the middle of the mess and fought against them all while his eyes were looking for Alex. only some newborns who realized about the presence of him there.

there was one thing in his mind at the time being and that one thing would be

“Alex has probably got killed already and he is too late to save her!”

“NO!” he spat as he broke 2 newborns’ necks.

“where the hell is she???!!?” he was asking in such a raspy voice and then everyone there could hear him and realized about his presence.

“she’s up there, you fool!” one of them responded as he was pointing to the huge tree.

“no one’s up there, you fuckin fool!” Justin responded right a second after.

And then every newborn there came to a realization that they were just fighting against each other like fools over a human being who wasn’t even there to watch.

“I’m fucking serious now, where the fuck is she??!!?” Justin spat. He looked really furious with those deadly eyes of him.

The newborns sure knew too well that Justin really was serious and because of that, some of them or you can tell most of them were kind of shaking in their shoes.

“hold on..where’s Gerald?” one of them was saying

“he should’ve been here and fighting just like we did a second before” one of them again was responding

“what the hell? Do you mean he took Alexis with him when we’re fighting?”  one of them again responded in realization. And it made the rest of the newborns came to the same realization.

Justin had no time to voice a word. he made a move the minute he heard about the information. Meanwhile, the newborns remained still. They were in disbelief about what they had just done to each other and especially the fact that Gerald took Alex with him when they were fighting against each other like fools.

On the other side, Justin was trying to be in a good focus while he kept walking. Every now and then he would close his eyes and sense his surroundings. he didn’t need ages to sense Alex’ scent. He could smell how Alex was no where far from where he was now but then he smelt something that he wished he was wrong for that time. Blood. Human’s blood.

“no!” he spat as he kept walking and looking at his surroundings hoping that he could find Alex already. 

Seconds had passed, finally Justin’s eyes spotted something. there she was, leaning helpless to a tree as her shoulder and hand were being held by no one other than Gerald. It was obvious that Gerald had just bitten Alex on the neck. He was now some inches away from her face, closing his eyes as he licked his mouth where blood was spotted there while Alex was staring at the ground and she just looked that fragile and pale. And that was enough to raise Justin’s anger. He soon sprinted out to them both and the next second was Gerald was strangled on the neck and then he flung away harshly. Alex who was just so weak at the time being tried to lift her head up to know what was going on.

“how long or how many times did he bite you?” Justin asked as he was holding both of Alex’ shoulders, keeping her stand straight. He sounded firm and his eyes looked deadly. He was only a few inches away from her face.

“i..i don’t know.” She answered him in her very low voice. She was still in shock towards what had just happened, her being bitten, Gerald flung away all of a sudden, and then Justin with his deadly eyes standing right in front of her out of no where asking her something that didn’t go with a line like  “are you okay?”.

Alex’ blood was just too distracting apparently that it made Justin took a long deep breath and without realizing, he lowered his head to where her neck was.. where fresh blood was spotted there. On the other side, Alex held her breath seeing that. She bit her lips hard and her eyes were wide opened like it wanted to fall from its place. But in actuality, her eyes were just screaming fear and for help.

“oh not again please” she wished in her heart. she really hoped that he could control himself cuz if not, she knew she couldn’t bear it anymore. It’s between the two, she could pass out or the worse one was she could just die right there and then.

Meanwhile, Justin was fighting against his own self or his lust to be exact. He tried hard to control himself, to stop himself. His nose and lips now were only an inch away from her neck. Every now and then, he would always open his mouth and then close it a second after. He kept doing so until he heard and sensed that somebody was trying to put himself together and to get closer to where they both were and sure he knew who that somebody could possibly be, Gerald. He lifted his head up and turned around and his sudden move sure as hell startled the shit out of Alex. 

Justin’s anger and lust was on fire, he then got an idea on how to lose both or at least try to ease them. He walked to Gerald with such deadly eyes and Gerald did too but the difference was there was only lust in Gerald’s eyes. Alex’ blood made him feel like he was in cloud ninth. Justin fastened his footsteps and the minute he stopped his move, Gerald was being strangled hard on the neck.

“how dare you bit her!” he said in gritted teeth.

Gerald smirked and managed to say “it was amazing!”

And that was enough, Justin tighten strangling him.

Gerald was having a hard time to smirk or say a word but he tried his butt off to try to fight Justin. and finally he could kick Justin hard on the knee and thigh but it didn’t affect Justin at all. He then let his hands go from strangling Gerald. Again, Gerald was trying to put himself together and Justin was just letting him do so. Gerald used that time to attack Justin the best he could with all the power he got. It hadn’t even been a minute but Gerald was being strangled again by Justin.

“ I should’ve known that fighting you is no fun at all. You’re such a chicken. Fool one.” Justin was saying. Apparently, Gerald got offended by that so he managed to kick Justin and being a rebel while he was being strangled. It was no use. Nothing affected Justin. after a minute, Justin got pretty sick with Gerald. So he tighten strangling him and kicked him on the thigh and knee and the next second, he broke his neck.

“fuck you!” Justin spat on his face and for the next second, Gerald was lying helpless on the ground with no possibility of coming back to live

Meanwhile, Alex who was sitting helpless on the ground, watching everything, felt some type of way seeing what had just happened right before her eyes. fear, anxiety, disgusted were all over her. she almost couldn’t even believe her eyes anymore. There was just too much that was out of a human’s being mind happening right before her eyes. she was looking down to the green ground and tried to calm herself down the best she could.

On the other hand, Justin was heading closer to where Alex was sitting helpless. His face turned into plain and unreadable seeing Alex sitting helpless on the ground with blood kept on pouring from her neck little by little. The minute he got to Alex, he tore a little of his long sleeved tshirt he was wearing to cover Alex’s neck and tried to, hopefully, make the blood stop pouring. Alex kinda startled of Justin’s move but she couldn’t even react to it cuz her head felt so heavy at the time being that it made her have a hard time to see her surroundings clearly and even to just make a move was hard for her to do. Justin could feel how he was miserable seeing her like that. He then lifted Alex up and carried her to, apparently, his place. He decided to go back to his house to heal Alex completely. He knew too well that he couldn’t just take her back home in such a bad condition like that with her neck showing that she had just got bitten. Justin took the different track from he was coming before in case to avoid meeting the newborns. He was running so fast to get out of the wood sooner that it made Alex washed over by dizziness. In the middle of his running, Alex was mouthing something like :

“I tried to avoid and fight him the best as I could so probably it was only some seconds when he bit me” Alex was saying in such a very low voice. She was replying to his earlier question. She was so weak, inside and outside and Justin sure noticed that.

“don’t talk. You can take a little nap and it’ll be good for you” Justin told her, still running and his eyes were focus on the front. He didn’t need to be all focus though but he just didn’t want to see Alex cuz he got that feelings that if he even looked at her, especially her eyes, he would be so miserable then and he couldn’t even explain why.

Alex had no choice anymore so she just did what she was told.

The minute they got to Justin’s house, she was still asleep in his arms. He put Alex on a bed carefully and then took stuff to treat her neck. When he was sure that no more blood would pour out from her neck, he then cover her body with his thick and soft blanket he then went back to the wood to find and finish off the newborns but before he did so, he managed to take a look at her first, Alex looked so calm in her sleep that it gave a heart-warming feelings to whoever who saw. He finally finished off all the newborns in the wood without having no sweat at all and he hadn’t done yet, he then went to Maria’s mansion to find out what’s up there.

His face looked hard the minute he got there seeing what was happening there. To make it short, if it was wild when he had a fight with Maria before now how to even describe it? it was more than just that wild and messy than before. Maria’s army was just too many compared to the queen’s army. The queen was having a hard time to even make a little move. Maria was nowhere to be found. The newborns seemed to be newer with new faces and new bright red eyes. and that was enough for Justin to take a conclusion that Maria could probably be somewhere right now and finding as many human beings as she could and turning them into her newborns.

“fuck!” Justin spat.

He then went to the wild and big mess in front of the mansion and finished off every newborn in the way while he made his move to The Queen.

“you okay?” he asked the queen as he was helping her to stand up straight.

“Justin?” she was saying, couldn’t believe that Justin was there again.

“I’m okay. What about Alexis? Have you taken her back home?” she said as she was taken by Justin to Maria’s mansion for good.

“you should drink a human’s blood to make you whole again” Justin told her. he knew too well that she was not okay at all. Again he felt like he was miserable seeing the queen being so helpless and weak like that. One thing popped up in his mind at the time

“this is not something weird if im so miserable seeing her like this cuz she has something to do with me in the past but what about that Alexis girl? she has nothing to do with me at all so why would i feel like im miserable seeing her being so weak?”

“there’s no human beings here, Justin. you haven’t answered my question anyway” the queen said making Justin stopped speaking with his mind.

“no human being’s here but there’s tons of newborns here. she’s safe in my place” Justin said

“stay here. I’ll be back asap” he then said again and then vanished for her eyes to see

The queen was asking what’s in Justin’s mind right now. He always had something in his mind that could always amaze or shock people if they knew. And she couldn’t believe that Justin hadn’t taken Alex back home. She didn’t know what to feel about it. she wanted Alex to be safe by taking her back home but she also wanted her blood to help her and her land and also the world. As she was swimming with her thoughts, Justin came back again to her with 2 boys, newborns, right beside him.

“drink this human blood of these newborns and you’ll be good” Justin told her.

She kinda startled hearing that how he could think of such a good thing.  She wasted no time and then she felt good and whole again just like Justin told her a minute before. The newborns were lying helpless on the ground and soon they would leave the world completely.

“Justin, thank you.” She said as she was smiling to him and Justin just gave her a little smile but inside, he was happy seeing her get better and be normal again.

“Justin, do you really wanna take her out of here?” she asked

“yes. She shouldn’t be here. people like us can’t count on a human being” he said

“you’re right. But how can we finish off Maria then? She’s turning every human being she meets into newborns. She’s going mad than before now.”

“I believe you can and I’ll help you out if I’ve taken Alexis back already” he said.

Hearing that he would like to help, made The Queen so happy. That was what she had been looking forward to hear.

“you do care about her. that’s so cute” she was saying as she was smiling, well, actually she was just trying to smile.. she kinda felt the jealousy came over her.

“it’s not like that though. I mean I just feel pity towards her” he said nonchalantly

“no. don’t you say such a thing you don’t even mean it” she said

“whatever. You better finish off the newborns again and I’ll take Alexis out of here.” Justin told her as he was standing.

“good idea.” She said, smiling as she was standing too.

“Justin?” she said again when Justin was making his move

“what?” he said not turning back to face her

“thank you” she said sincerely.

Justin nodded his head and smiled a little as he was turning back to face her and then said

“take care of yourself”

They both were staring at each other for God knows what till he broke their eyes’ contact. He then vanished as she was saying

“you have to Justin.”

The minute Justin got to his house, he made his move to the kitchen to have a bottle of water for Alex and then he went straight to the second floor where Alex was.

“aye how you feelin now?” he asked her as he walked closer to Alex who was sitting on the bed and hugging herself in his blanket.

“better than before” she replied

“good” he said as he gave her the bottle and sat beside her.

“ohhh finally I can drink!” she  said, relieved and grateful

“sorry about that. I almost forgot u’re human” Justin said not realizing his words

meanwhile Alex coughed the minute she heard that. That only made her remember about the bitter reality that she was being surrounded by unliving people in a random land she never knew about. It didn’t last long though for Justin to realize his words, he felt bad for saying that. She could freak out inside, he thought, so he said

“forget what I’ve just said” as he glanced at her and gave a little smile.

She tried to give him a smile back too and then they both looked at the window watching the sun rose.

“did you have a nice sleep?” he asked, still looking at the window

“yeah. I thought I was dead when I opened my eyes earlier this morning. I was so scared. I’m scared” she replied speaking what’s on her mind, still looking at the window. She found it easy to talk everything on her mind to him as if she had known him for such a long time like they had a very good relationship like she could just tell him anything and he wouldn’t mind.

“but u’re alive! Isn’t that great?” he said as he glanced at her and smiled a little.

“yeah. and it’s because of you too. Thank you so much for saving me last night” she said sincerely as she looked at him and smiled but he kept looking at the window. she kept staring at him and bit her lips.

“doesn’t matter” he replied her. he sounded nonchalantly again after sounded friendly a minute before.

“where were you last night?” she asked as she figured that he wouldn’t say anything

“in Maria’s mansion” he replied shortly. His mood was like a rollercoaster. He could sound so friendly but the next minute, he could be all flat again.

“what did you do there?” she asked again.

She tried to talk to him, because all this time they never really talked cuz as the world knew, their relationship was not really good. He did the otherwise, he didn’t really want to talk to her cuz he was starting to feel something, something he couldn’t really comprehend towards her and that explained on why his mood changed.

“none of your business” he replied nonchalantly.

She knew that he wanted to drop any subject, she knew that he was in no mood in talking and that made her down somehow. She then looked at the window again.

“u must be hungry. I think u should eat something now.” He suddenly said as he stood up

“yeah” she replied kept looking at the window.

“you can cook yourself something right?” he asked her

“yeah” she replied

“the kitchen is down there.” He said as he vanished from the room without she even realized.

She then went to the kitchen and cooked herself something, after that she sat and ate her food on the table.

“hey”

she heard a familiar voice coming to her and it was Justin’s who was making his move to her. she lowered her head and ate her food again as he sat right in front of her

“I will take you home after you’ve finished” he said, looking at her who kept lowering her head and eating.

She didn’t reply him but she was happy hearing that. She wanted to be home already.

After she finished her food, he stood up and followed by her a second after.

“let’s go” he said as he made his move to the door and she just followed him.

Justin drove his car to the wild wood and as soon as he got near to the wood, he left his car. They finally stepped their foot in the wild wood and Justin was leading the move as she was just following him. They uttered no words at all. Even though it looked like Justin was just walking and didn’t notice his surroundings especially Alex, but actually he did. He would always steal a glance at her every now and then when she didn’t notice and smelt her scent to make sure she was still with him and that she was still strong enough to walk. The wood was just too wide and wild for a human like her that it made Justin want to just carry her to get out of the wood cuz it would definitely take ages for them to get out of the wood by walking like a human casually walks.

“if you’re tired. We can just take a rest then” he said as he stopped his move knowing that she was kinda sweating and starting to lose her breath.

“no I’m okay. Let’s keep walking” she replied

he decided to follow her till she really felt in need to take a rest that she couldn’t say “no” anymore.

It had been half 3 hours that they had been walking in the wild wood and she was now having a hard time to breathe. He sure noticed and he stopped his move

“let’s take a rest” he said

“we should keep walking if we’re still far from the end of this wood” she said between her breath as she kept walking

“I know you really wanna get home soon but your body needs a little rest” he said

“no I’m okay” she said

“actually we can get out of here in minutes if you let me carry you out” he said

“if you don’t wanna take a rest here, you like it or not, I will carry you” he said again and sounded all serious.

he knew she must not want it to be carried by him when she was all conscious and he was right. if someone carries her, she would feel bad cuz she got a boyfriend out there. Hearing Justin said his words, she then stopped her foot and sat beside a big tree and he sat beside the other big tree.

It was really sunny and it was already in the middle of the day but they both hadn’t even got to the center of the wood. They both were still sitting and enjoying the scenery of their surroundings as they’re taking a rest. It didn’t take long to make Alex fall asleep apparently. Then again, she was just a human being who was really tired. Knowing this, Justin just smiled seeing her. he then got closer to her and made her more comfortable with her sleeping position. He then decided to look for water for her to drink cuz he knew she must had been very thirsty but before he left her, he made sure that her surroundings was safe.

Apparently it took kinda ages for Justin to find a river. Meanwhile, Alex woke up from her sleep and she startled seeing Justin was no where near her. she started to freak out. She felt not safe at all without Justin. she started to question things.

“did something happen when I was asleep? Where is he? Is he alright? Did something happen to him? Or did he leave me?” she was asking again and again in her head and her last question made her tummy felt bad.

“how could I even fall asleep?” she said, annoyed at herself

“I’m so stupid!” she said again

“aw yeah probably you are, baby.” she heard a voice she was not familiar with

“I mean, you wouldn’t walking around in this wild and wide wood all alone if you’re smart” the voice said again as it got closer to her and then there he was, he was a newborn and right behind him were the other newborns showed up too. 

Her eyes looked like it wanted to fall from its place seeing them. She was shock. She freaked out. she had no idea if they were newborns but 1 thing she knew for sure, they’re not alive and they’re nowhere near from the word “good” for her and she had to escape herself from them before they got her. she then ran as fast and far as she could to wherever her foot could take her. the newborns were just laughing seeing her. they didn’t catch her bc she was just a human so it would be no sweat to get to her no matter how fast she managed to run. Their laughter only made Alex freak out even more.
